CAN I GO TO GTM?
GTM is a licensed all ages event, however, we do recommend 16+. If you are under 16, we are still more than happy for you to come along, as long as you’ve cleared it with your parents.
Here are some tips from us:
– Come with a good group of friends
– Set up meeting points at the start of the day in case you get separated
– We also recommend you write down two friends’ numbers on your arm or on a piece of paper for your pocket/bag – best to include the number of one of your friends at the event and one adult who can help you out from home
– Most importantly, look after each other
We are expecting an excited crowd so GTM is not the best environment for small children, toddlers and infants.
NOTE TO PARENTS: It’s up to you to consider whether the event is appropriate for your child. If you would like to discuss this with someone from our office please get in touch with us at Moo HQ!
IS GTM ACCESSIBLE FOR EVERYONE?
Yes it is. Groovin the Moo accommodates for people with accessibility requirements, is wheelchair accessible and supports the companion program.
Please note: We are expecting an excitable crowd so GTM is not the best environment for small children, toddlers and infants.
Please get in touch directly with GTM Ticketing team for specific event information in regards to access for patrons who have accessibility requirements, mobility restrictions and to discuss companion arrangements.
HOW DO I BUY TICKETS?
Tickets are on sale now! You can buy them here.
Once an event is sold out, there will be no more tickets available.
Our only official ticketing outlet is Moshtix and tickets will only be available for purchase online
We (and we can’t stress this enough) DON’T recommend purchasing tickets from any unofficial channels such as Tixel, Viagogo, eBay, Gumtree or unknown Facebook accounts as we cannot guarantee the legitimacy of these tickets.
WHEN DOES GTM START AND FINISH?
Gates open at 11am with the first bands taking to the stage around 11:10am and the last band finishing around 10:30pm at all Groovin the Moo shows.
CAN I LEAVE GTM AND COME BACK IN?
No, you cannot leave and come back in. There are NO PASSOUTS for any GTM events, so make sure you bring in everything you’ll need for the day. This includes any medication, along with your prescription for the medication. We also recommend a jumper for when the sun goes down.
CAN I BRING MY OWN ALCOHOL?

DRUGS AT GTM
Groovin the Moo does not condone any behaviour that may knowingly cause harm to an individual and encourages all patrons to take personal responsibility for their actions.
There are risks associated with drugs including adverse health reactions and criminal charges. Be mindful that Police sniffer dogs regularly attend Groovin the Moo, so to ensure you won’t miss out on any of the fun, don’t bring anything sniffable with you.
If you’re feeling unwell or you notice someone else who might need assistance, please reach out to the closest GTM Event, Security or Medical team member immediately. GTM has a range of services on site and we’re here to help, without judgement. Familiarise yourself with our event facilities, which can be found in the navigation menu above.

We are more than happy for you to bring a sealed or empty plastic water bottle to GTM.
We offer free water stations across the festival site for you to fill up your bottles throughout the day. Please note soft drinks, juice, milk, energy drinks, flavoured water and sports water are not permitted to be brought into the festival.

I NEED TO BRING MY MEDICATION WITH ME, HOW DO I DO THIS?
If you need to bring in prescription or over-the-counter medication, you will need to make sure it is clearly labelled with the prescription in your name and in it’s original packaging.
Please be aware security may ask GTM’s medical team to check your medication upon arrival.
If you’re unsure or have any questions, get in touch with Moo HQ.

> Before you upload something to Facebook or Instagram, have a think about whether you’d be happy with someone else uploading that exact photo or footage of you. It might seem funny at the time, but possibly not the following day

CAN I VOLUNTEER AT GTM?
Thanks for your interest in becoming a volunteer! We actually already work with community groups in each region who fill out our volunteer roster. Keep an eye out for who they are in the coming months and you may want to sign up to get involved.
We definitely look to provide opportunities for super duper keen beans though! If you have a clear vision of what department you would like to work in and learn more about, and you think you could make an excellent addition to the team, email our team manager your CV, age, address and a little introduction about yourself, your skills and your goals. Please note we do prioritise our community groups as we have been working with them since GTM was a wee calf! But we will do our best to try and hook you up with some work experience.
CAN I WORK AT GTM?
We’re always happy to hear from people wanting to be involved with GTM!  We’re looking for people to join us across a range of roles to get some great festival experience and be a part of the GTM team. You can find out more and register your interest here.

WHAT IF I LOSE MY FRIENDS AT GTM?
Make a meeting place BEFORE you get to GTM! The official Meeting Place at GTM is the big set times tower (you can’t miss it). If you want to make a second meeting place, we recommend the Helpdesk.
Another tip? Don’t rely on your mobile phone! The battery may run out or reception may be hard to get. We recommend you write down two numbers on your arm or on a piece of paper for your pocket/bag. Best to include the number of one of your friends at the event and one adult who can help you out from home.
WHAT IF I LOSE A PERSONAL ITEM AT GTM?
The Helpdesk is the place to go to hand in a lost item you’ve found at the event, or to see if someone has handed in an item lost by you or a friend.
Items not collected at the end of the night will be retained at the event site by GTM for one (1) day post event then all valuables will be handed over to either the local Police or venue management depending on the show.
Any non-valuable items (such as clothing) not collected by this time will be donated to a local charity organisation.
Check back in on your relevant GTM Facebook Event Page after your event for collection details.
WHERE CAN I FIND INFORMATION ON THE DAY?
The Help Desk is back again this year to help answer any questions you have throughout the day. Look for the Help Desk sign and head over to talk to the friendly team who can help you with free water, sunscreen, maps, lost and found, playing times or if you just want to have a chat.
WILL THERE BE A CLOAKROOM AT GTM?
For your convenience, GTM will be running a Cloakroom. Here’s how it works.
Cost: One (1) standard cloak is $5 and $3 to Access.
What is one (1) standard cloak?
- 1 x article of clothing per hanger
- Loose items must be able to fit into the equivalent of 1 x A4 Bag
- 1 x personal bag no larger than a standard day pack
Anyone wishing to cloak items larger than one (1) standard cloak must purchase a second cloak.
Accessing your things throughout the day: You can access your stuff throughout the day for $3 by way of presenting your wristband/cloak tag.
Valuables, including mobile phones, wallets, cameras and electrical equipment will be cloaked at the risk of the customer and must be listed on the cloak tag at the time of cloaking the item. GTM will not take responsibility for items not declared at the time of cloaking.
Customers are responsible for ensuring they retain their wristband/cloak tag throughout the day. Lost wristbands/cloak tags will be asked to wait until the end of the evening to collect items.
Cloaked items not collected at the end of the night: Will be retained at the event site by GTM for one (1) day post event. Check back in on your relevant GTM Facebook Event Page after your event for collection details.
WILL THERE BE FIRST AID?
First Aid tents will be in operation from GTM’s start to finish and is the place to go if you or one of your friends aren’t feeling well. Not sure what’s wrong? Or think maybe you just need a rest? Better to be on the safe side and talk to our First Aid operators – they’ll be able to help or send you along to someone else who can.
WILL THERE BE MARKETS AT GTM?
Every GTM event has a range of market stalls providing opportunities for local artists and business owners to get involved and showcase their wares.
