Bunbury, WA

Community

At the core of GTM’s philosophy is bringing people together as one big community. Or as we like to call it, comooooonity. It brings us udder joy to showcase the offerings and support the communities of each region we visit. We’re thrilled to announce what we’ve got in store for Bunbury in 2023.

Graffin the Moo

Local artist Dee Mosca will share the space with local teacher Josh Raven and his crew to take over the fence lines with a series of murals and help from younger members of Bunbury’s art community.

Local Artist Showcases

Mootown is a space dedicated to local artists and DJs, all handled by local stage managers. GTM will work with a local promoter to program this stage, which historically has gone off and is an absolute highlight for locals and visitors alike.

Ticket Exchange Program

Horizon House provides stability and support for vulnerable young people aged 16-22 by facilitating a range of long term accommodation options for those who need support and assistance to establish and maintain their independence.

Lamp Inc/Room 226 is an early intervention and prevention centre and circle of caseworkers that specialises in elevating mental health issues in the local community. Support is delivered in an informal way and the local centre gives young people being supported a place to relax, play pool and socialize in a safe and supportive environment.

Welcome to Country

Uncle Peter Hill will perform the Welcome to Country along with members of Koolangkas Kreate.
Koolangkas Kreate have a strong focus on Education, Community Engagement, Reconciliation, Social Inclusiveness and Cultural Pride. Their focus is not only on embracing our Aboriginal Culture, but on inspiring Youth to become future leaders, teaching them to pursue their dreams.

Work Experience and Volunteer Placement

Event Management students from North Metropolitan TAFE Perth will be provided with work placement opportunities at Groovin the Moo to get some valuable on ground event experience.

Bunbury Catholic College provides an annual journey for a handful of music students from the college to the GTM site to undertake work experience. It’s a major highlight for these students as they get involved with setting up the backstage area as well as other aesthetic tasks around the site. We are thrilled to have them as part of the team.
