CREATION STATION

KITIYA PALASKAS

Kitiya Palaskas is a craft-based designer, author and speaker with a multi-disciplinary practice. She specialises in prop and installation design, content creation, styling, creative workshops and all things DIY! She focuses primarily on handmade techniques and traditional craft methods re-imagined in contemporary ways. Kit will be running a super fun DIY craft station all day at GTM Bendigo. For a $5 contribution you can get creative with felt and glue
guns, customise your very own festival tote bag and know that your donation will be 100% given to a local charity.  Look for the Creation Station on the day, and come get your craft on!

POWDER PEN

Returning in 2019, GTM’s Powder Pen will keep you looking festival fresh! For a small donation, you can get a quick hair and make-up “zjoosh” thanks to Honeyeater. A portion of proceeds from the Powder Pen will go back to the charity of the salons’ choice.

WORK EXPERIENCE

COLLARTS

Collarts is proud to be the Exclusive Education Partner of Groovin the Moo Bendigo in 2019!

They pride themselves on connecting students with hands-on opportunities to work in the industries they’re passionate about. Spanning across Australia’s many creative and entertainment sectors, their motivation is simple: do what you love.

Collarts students will get hands on experience in an all-ages festival environment with industry leaders, local and international artists, and the community spirit of the Victorian music scene right at their fingertips!

CASTLEMAINE COLLEGE

Groovin the Moo will once again be partnering with Castlemaine Secondary College, located in Central Victoria, to provide opportunities for students to gain work experience. Steve Carroll is one of Castlemaine’s school teachers and the VCAL (Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning) coordinator. As the VCAL coordinator, his job is to try and find hands-on, practical activities for students to gain real-world learning experiences from. “I’ve worked in schools for too long to remember, but love seeing young people get excited and passionate when they get involved with something that is real and relevant to them!” he says.

YO EVENTS

Members of YO Events will attend Groovin the Moo in 2019 as volunteers. As well as being able to attend a great event, this is seen as another development opportunity in the music industry for them. Participating in the various roles it takes to run a successful music event will be fantastic experience for a group of young people who are keen to learn what it takes to make events happen.
