After the surprise release of their debut album Down To Earth in 2014, Flight Facilities have shown no sign of slowing down. Despite the surprise, the album went to #1 on the iTunes Australia chart, #1 and #2 on the US and UK iTunes electronic charts respectively and #3 on the ARIA chart.
But they aren’t content to sit back and rest on their laurels. On returning home from touring the world in 2014 and 2015, they reworked their live set and were back on the road to headline Groovin the Moo before hitting the European summer festival circuit, including a debut a Glastonbury.
In October 2015 Jimmy and Hugo took to the stage of the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne to join forces with the 90-piece Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and recreate the duo’s five-year journey in front of 12,000+ fans. The boys then teamed up with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra to perform at The Domain for #FFxSSO in front of 15,000 hometown fans in 2016.
Last year Flight Facilities hit the studio to work towards the creation of LP2. Singles ‘Arty Boy’ and ‘Stranded’ are the first taste of new music from the boys and are both certified bangers. Flight Facilities will be bringing new music and a new live show to Groovin the Moo 2018, so strap in!
