Congratulations to the following Triple J Unearthed artists who will be gracing the stages of Groovin The Moo next month! Neon Love (Bendigo), The Medics (Townsville), Elgen & Johnny Utah (Maitland), The Trivs (Canberra), and The Words (Bunbury).
The results are in and the judges have awarded the GTM T-shirt design competition to Matt Hobson of Melbourne for his design "The Inner Animal". Matt's design will become part of the 2010 GTM Merchandise range and will be available in a limited edition for purchase at all GTM Events – so be quick in getting your hands on one. The GTM team has been overwhelmed with the expressions of interest from all of the music enthusiasts submitting their band or artist for a slot on the GTM Line up. We are excited to announce that national youth broadcaster, triple j, has launched the triple j unearthed competition for each of the FIVE GTM events.
Both triple j and GTM are giving one lucky artist/band in the regions of Bendigo (including Bendigo, Ballarat and Goulburn Valley), Townsville (including Townsville, Mackay and Tropical North), Maitland (including Maitland, Newcastle and Upper Hunter), Canberra (including Canberra, South East NSW, or Illawarra) and Bunbury (Bunbury, Southern Agricultural) the opportunity to strut their stuff on stage at the GTM event in their local area!
Artists/bands need to be in it to win it – the unearthed website (www.triplejunearthed.com) is open for artists/bands to register their interest and upload their music from Wednesday 10 March through to Sunday 4 April. For full terms and conditions, log onto www.triplejunearthed.com. All five winners of the triple j unearthed competition will be announced on Wednesday 7 April 2010.
