About Groovin' the Moo

Like a bull at the gate Groovin the Moo is ready to charge and rumble: calling all broncos to get on board for a mighty ride in May 2010.

GTM is a travelling musical event like no other in Australia: we set up our shows in regional cities, not the big smoke (OK, we are going to Canberra this year). A one day explosion of carnival and cavorting under the sun, clouds, moon, in front of a chunky outdoor double stage, and in the biggest dance tent since Sheik Yerbouti, as the sun goes down on life as usual.

When you come through the gate you will see everyone has come out of the wood-work to play. Wherever we go the crowd is part of the show, and proudly welcome all tribes to come together: rockers, ravers, rappers, young people, old people, bushies, city people – Groovin the Moo people. The kids, the cats, the boys, the ladies, all one motley throng letting the rest of life loose. The crowd is big enough to go bang, but not so large there is no room to wiggle. All the revellers and punters have an infectious groove going, and the fever catches. A tectonic tonic for the system you will not forget in a hurry.

Come down and swing your sneakers to a new groove and a rapper’s delight.Catch some rays in a daze to a jangle guitar and a golden melody.Fist the night to the flash and clash of a metal lightning bolt.

In 2010, GTM presents a sonic smorgasbord for your delight, rock, rap, dance, metal, hardcore, pop, headlined by Silverchair, Empire of the Sun, Vampire Weekend, Grinspoon, and Tegan and Sara.

GTM has brought the sounds and fun of a single day touring music show out of the cities trucking into the heart of Australia, and is ready to rock the boat in Bendigo (VIC) May 1, Townsville (QLD) May 2, Maitland (NSW) May 8, Canberra (ACT) May 9 and Bunbury (WA) May 15. Acts have come to play from all over this country, and a few besides from Europe, North and even South America. An exotic rockit to the Milky Way out there.

The 2010 annual Groovin the Moo is ready to roll - come jump in the fun.
